The Counties Manukau Bowel Screening Service has an exciting role available to provide liaison between the Bowel Screening Programme and Primary Health Care Providers. The purpose of the role is to provide support with the enrolment and participation of priority groups within the Counties Manukau Health district.
The role also requires the promotion and education about the bowel screening programme within the Community, supporting outreach activities and assisting/Training Primary Health Providers on the patient dashboard and referral systems within their Patient Management Systems (PMS).
This position will be the 'face' of this programme to many Primary Health Care Providers in Counties Manukau and will assist Practices and Primary Health Organisations (PHOs) to identify eligible participants who require screening or enrolment via regular monitoring. This role will centre on establishing and maintaining quality systems and quality improvement processes to ensure the enrolment of participants or follow up of overdue or unscreened participants that are referred into this programme.
The preferred applicant for this role would have proven experience in establishing and maintaining quality systems and quality improvement processes to ensure that all participants are followed up appropriately. You would need to be a confident communicator, a self-starter, patient, discreet and tactful. Intermediate computer skills are vital.
Essential:
- Four years secondary education
- Full, clean driver’s licence
- 2-3 years experience working in a primary care setting
- A good understanding of Practice Management Systems
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office

- Knowledge of General Practice Systems and processes
