Sonographer, Full Time, North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals, Auckland at Waitemata District Health Board (North & West Auckland), Auckland

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

  • Sonographer Experienced in Vascular Ultrasound, Surgical & Ambulatory Services
  • Permanent
  • North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals, Auckland, New Zealand
Situated in the picturesque Auckland region, both the North Shore and Waitakere provide a unique lifestyle that comes with living in a vibrant and diverse urban centre, with beaches and open spaces.

We have the opportunity for a qualified sonographer to join our radiology team, based at North Shore Hospital (631 Beds) and Waitakere Hospital (271 Beds). Waitemata District Health Board serves an ever growing catchment population of over 630,000 people, throughout the communities in the northern and western regions of Auckland.

One of the attractions is the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic imaging team with a varied and interesting workload.

The examinations you will be expected to perform range from general, obstetrics and vascular to paediatric, small parts and some musculoskeletal examinations. It is vital you have a good level of confidence and skill in vascular ultrasound. Whilst desirable to have a vascular qualification this is not essential.

As the DHB is a training facility you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and experience and to further develop your career whilst making a valued contribution to the teaching of others. We are seeking a sonographer with a passion for teaching and learning whilst working in a team environment.

You will require qualifications that are recognised by the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.

To make your move as smooth as possible, we also have a dedicated registered Global Mobility Consultant who can support and provide relocation and immigration advice and making the transition to a new country as seamless as possible if needed.
