Nelson Hospital is a recognised leader amongst provincial hospitals offering a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, mental health and paediatric services.  We provide acute secondary services for a regional population of approximately 108,000. Our small, friendly department provides a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to all hospital wards along with our rural hospitals.

We are looking for an intern with the following attributes:

• Initiative to complete allocated tasks, responsibilities and projects

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, working 72 hours a fortnight (0.9 FTE), commencing January 2023. Applicants must be enrolled with the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand Intern Programme.

• Ward based Clinical Pharmacy
• Medicine Reconciliation
• Preparation for Discharge - Secondary/Primary interface
• Inpatient Dispensing
• Cytotoxic Dispensing
• Extemporaneous Compounding
• Provision of Drug Information
• Participation in Continuing Education Presentations
