Ngā mōhiohio e pā hānga ki tēnei mahi (About this position)
We are looking for a biomedical
technician or someone with a strong understanding of electronics to join our
facilities team at Wairau Hospital working 40 hours a week. You will provide an
essential service ensuring that our biomedical and clinical equipment is safe,
fully operational and available at all times.

You will have or may be
working towards a New Zealand recognised qualification such as Trade
Certificate in Electronics, New Zealand Certificate in Electronics, or a
similar qualification, and will be registered with the Electrical Workers
Registration Board. You must be familiar with all current rules and regulations
governing the Electrical/Electronics Industry - in particular service standards
AS/NZS 3551 and
AS/NZS 2500.
You will be able demonstrate a sound
understanding of clinical engineering, electronics or biomedical equipment
servicing and compliance and will be well organised, methodical, meticulous and
skilled at analysis and problem-solving.
You-ll also have good communication
skills and will be a team player who enjoys working without direct supervision.
It-s essential that you-re customer-focused and mindful of patients- rights and
comfort.
For the health and safety of staff and patients all NMH
staff are required to be vaccinated in accordance with the COVID-19 Public
Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 including boosters.
