Occupational Therapist at Waikato District Health Board (Hamilton), Waikato

Where you’ll be working: Child care Development Centre, Waikato Hospital

The details: Fixed term, 40 hours per week (1 FTE)

 

Are you passionate about tamariki with developmental disabilities and looking to make a positive difference in the lives of tamariki and their whanau?

 

About the role:

The CDC is a multi-disciplinary service that provides assessment and intervention for tamariki aged 0 – 16 years with developmental disabilities.

We have an exciting opportunity for an occupational therapist to join our team

You will collaborate with clients and the team providing multidisciplinary assessments, acute inpatient assessment and intervention, equipment and housing assessments, and individual assessments and interventions.

 

About you:

This position would suit a clinician with experience in the area of child disability. We welcome applications from qualified occupational therapists who hold registration to practice with the OT Board of NZ. This position is to cover 12 x month parental leave commencing July 2022

 

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Registration with the NZ Occupational Therapy Board •hold a valid annual practicing certificate
  • A full New Zealand licence and the ability to travel •Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Pro-active and can-do approach with the ability to be flexible and work autonomously as well as in a team.
