80 hours per fortnight (1.FTE)
We are looking for a Kaiawhina to join the Child Healthy Housing Team based in Wairoa
This role is currently fixed term until 30 June 2023, however there is the potential it will be extended once further funding is confirmed.
This is exciting role is part of the existing Child Health Housing Team with the goal of preventing Wairoa tamariki and young people becoming unwell by completing housing assessments and implementing interventions to make homes dryer and healthier.
There will be plenty of variety and challenge with this position as the Kaiawhina will be responsible for ensuring all eligible Wairoa whanau receive a housing assessment and intervention plan.
This role will work closely with the Child Health & Wairoa Team Leaders, existing Child Healthy Housing Social Workers, Kaiawhina and other key Wairoa community agencies.
It is essential that applicants have the skills and experience to develop strong working relationships with Wairoa community agencies, housing related suppliers and social support services to develop interventions to improve housing for vulnerable families.
