Do you have an interest in General medicine?

Developing ongoing therapeutic relationships with your patients and their families?

If so we are looking for someone just like you to join our new Medicine Ward!

Middlemore Hospital General Medical wards are where Health Care Assistants have the unique opportunity to work in the challenging and stimulating environment of Medicine. We have patients requiring predominantly general medical care with other medical sub-specialties involved (Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Palliative care,) There is also the potential to care for patients following minor surgery. As the main support for our nurses, you will be able to learn new skills and assist them with patient care.

We are a motivated, multicultural team that aims to give the best care to our patients in a supportive and safe environment.

Essential:

  • Health Care Assistant Level 3 or 4 Certificate or equivalent (to be assessed)
  • 1 + years recent HCA experience in a hospital setting
  • Excellent communication skills
