0.6 FTE Staff Grade Orthopaedic Physiotherapist & 0.4 Staff Grade in ED
(Each role available individually with increased FTE or combined 1FTE)

You will be working as part of an established inter-disciplinary team covering an array of conditions while providing quality early assessment and intervention, advice and discharge planning, through a patient centred approach. You will be joining an organisation that is forward thinking, innovative and values your contributions. This role offers variety across two different clinical areas. Each individual role as scope to have additional FTE added to it.
Waitematā is leading the way in digital innovation with electronic patient notes, e-prescribing and e-vitals and have strong links with our community and outpatient services.
Within this role you will receive:
- Support and development of your personal and professional goals
- Support and mentoring from senior clinicians and clinical coaches
- Education to be able to support junior staff with clinical development and supervision
- Regular professional supervision from experience clinicians
- Opportunities to contribute to service delivery and quality improvement projects
- Training and support for this available
- Credentialing for weekend work: required to work 3 weekend days/3 month roster
Key requirements for this role:
- New Zealand registered Physiotherapist
- 2+ years of clinical experience: Recent inpatient orthopaedic experience and experience working with older frail adults in the ED setting is preferred.
- Excellent assessment and time management skills
- Great organisational skills and interdisciplinary team work.
- Ability to lead, support and mentor/supervise junior staff
- Strong clinical assessment skills, great communication and fast thinking
- Experience with student supervision
