64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE)
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join the Child Healthy Housing Team (CHHP).
This is exciting new role is part of the existing Child Health Housing Team and will foster clinical expertise and service integration by providing culturally safe and clinically effective assessment, intervention and advice. The role has a particular emphasis on providing and promoting evidence-based health education, training and advice to CHHP team and community stakeholders to enable them to assist whānau to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. .
The role will link closely with clinical leads in the Tuai Kōpu programme for wahine hāpu, the ASH prevention programme, Well Child Tāmariki Ora and Māori and Pacific health, education and social service providers to raise awareness of the correlation between cold, damp and overcrowded housing on the incidence of rheumatic fever, communicable and respiratory diseases in tāmariki.
There will be plenty of variety and challenge with this position and the Registered Nurse will work closely with the Child Health Team Leader & Nurse Practitioner, existing Child Healthy Housing Social Workers, Kaiawhina and other key community agencies.
It is essential that applicants have Child Health & community nursing knowledge and experience.
