This is a new and unique senior leadership role within the Pharmacy service management team and will be responsible for leading and managing the staff and operations of the inpatient dispensary of Middlemore Hospital. At CMH, we currently use Pyxis, MedChart (ePrescribing) and ePharmacy software for medicines management. This is an exciting time for our hospital pharmacy as we look to expand our utilisation and integration of technology to improve medicines safety, supply and procurement. Working together with other branches of the Pharmacy service, including Clinical Pharmacy and Medication Safety, we aim to optimise systems and processes to ensure that our patients have access to the right medicine at the right time. There are also opportunities to collaborate with many external stakeholders to improve medication management systems across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have broad pharmacy experience, a track record of leading teams and sustaining change and a positive, solution-driven attitude. You will need to have excellent communication as well as information technology, problem solving and time management skills.
We would love to hear from you if you are/have
- A NZ registered pharmacist with experience managing a dispensary
- A demonstrated ability to lead people, and projects
- Knowledge and understanding of integration of information systems and technology into dispensary/medicine distribution and procurement processes
- An excellent communicator, and able to connect with people with diverse backgrounds
