Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Kāinga Tiaki Community Mental Health Centre provides a range of assessment and recovery focused treatment options for adults experiencing serious mental illness and psychological disorders.
As the Clinical Team Leader for this team, you will bring both clinical leadership and operational management skills, ensuring the effective day to day operation of the service. This includes leading and implementing service developments, improvements and initiatives.
The position requires a self-motivated and conscientious leader with a strong clinical and service user focus. You will relish the challenges and enjoy working in a supportive environment. You will have a positive attitude, flexibility and a proven ability to form good relationships with staff, service users and their families/whanau. Although experience in an operational management role is desirable, experienced mental health professionals with a desire to extend into a management role will be considered, and if successful will be supported in their development.
Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will work collaboratively at a senior clinical level with clients, colleagues, mental health service providers, and other community agencies to promote service user recovery.
You will also be required to join the mental health on call manager roster providing after hours advice.
We welcome applications from experienced NZ registered Mental Health Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychotherapists with at least 5 years robust and relevant clinical experience working with complex service users and their whanau. You will be highly competent at identifying and managing risk as well as able to demonstrate sound leadership skills and experience.
This is a full time, Permanent role working 40 hours per week
