Te Tari Taiwhenua / Internal Affairs (DIA) is a diverse and multi-faceted Department with a large, high-profile programme of government priorities to deliver over the next few years.
As a result of an external promotion, an opportunity exists to become the Department-s next Deputy Chief Executive of Organisational Capability and Services.
The person appointed will work with Executive Leadership Team colleagues to lead and facilitate the strategic kōrero on how organisational capabilities are delivered, to best support DIA-s mahi and organisational strategy.
With over 500 staff and a significant budget, most of the Department-s enabling functions sit within this Branch, to support and enable DIA-s diverse portfolio.
Your direct reports lead Finance, Human Resources, ICT, and other functional areas. To enable the success of your team, you will ensure each part of the Branch is aligned and joined up in its approach and style of delivery, to enhance service delivery and organisational performance.
Understanding the needs and values of your internal customers will be key to your success.You will capture customer feedback insights and use performance metrics to gauge the internal health of the organisation and provide insights about how improvements can be made.
A prioritised and sequenced work programme will support delivery of the capability and tools needed to support DIA-s kaimahi and mahi. You will work with your team to develop frameworks, business models and tools, and a sound financial strategy to support decision making and enable the organisation to deliver on its mandate.
Leading the mahi on organisational capability development, engagement and talent management will further evolve DIA-s organisational culture and strengthen Te Tari Taiwhenua-s reputation as a great place to work.,
