We are a diverse team and pride ourselves on providing a range of outstanding pharmacy services to our patients in collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team.
Our Hospital Pharmacy Services are currently looking for a Qualified and NZ registered Pharmacist to join our team on a fixed term fulltime basis (1FTE) until November 2022. The Canterbury District Health Board prides itself on supporting and developing our Pharmacists. This position has plenty of challenging opportunities and innovation is encouraged by peers, senior staff and management. The department provides regular continuing education and numerous other training opportunities.
The Pharmacist role is highly varied; it encompasses rotations through various clinical areas across the Canterbury DHB hospital sites in Christchurch: Christchurch Hospital, Burwood Hospital and Hillmorton Hospital.
The Role: Where you fit in
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Clinical interventions;
- Medicines reconciliation;
- Patient education;
- Dispensing and aseptic production.
- Well-developed communication and time-management skills;
- Excellent computer skills;
- The ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team;
- A flexible and motivated approach to your work;
- You must be a qualified and NZ registered pharmacist;
- Hospital experience is preferable.
