Relationship Manager Primary Care at Waikato District Health Board (Hamilton), Waikato

Where you’ll be based: Strategy and Funding Team, Waiora CBD, Hamilton

The details: Permanent. Full time. 80 hours per fortnight

The Strategy, Investment and Transformation directorate is looking for an experienced manager to join our team. The role is a blend of relationship management and evidence based decision making; and will be responsible for leading the funding and relationship management functions for Primary Care in our team.

We are looking for a confident and experienced leader who is passionate about improving health outcomes and is committed to the DHB’s priority of radically improving Māori health and eliminating inequities. The preferred candidate will thrive in a changing environment, be comfortable with working in a partnership model and will be adept at developing effective and sustainable provider relationships.

You will have, experience in working with Primary Care providers and a practical understanding of funding requirements and contract management will be responsible for managing the relationship with primary care and other community based health care providers and leading the development and negotiation of service contracts.

Required skills & experience:

• Experienced leadership and relationship management skills

• Strong practical experience in health funding and contract management

• Demonstrated success working with providers to delivery agreed outcomes

• Comprehensive understanding of Primary Care, and the broader health system
