Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Capital Support is an under 65 y/o needs assessment service covering the greater Wellington region that service works in partnership with disabled people to achieve a better future for people with disabilities. We have a position available in the team based at Kenepuru Hospital but reaching out to the broader community served by Capital and Coast District Health Board (CCDHB).
No two days will be the same in this varied role that will see you responsible for providing clients with options that promote and enable them to gain maximum function and quality of life. The work will involve negotiating and facilitating complex service requirements, and you will have outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, empathy, computer literacy and dedication to make a difference to people's lives.
Experience within the disability sector and/or of needs assessment and service coordination would be an advantageous in this role.

Capital and Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) Capital Support is a Needs Assessment and Service Coordination (NASC) agency that provides access to disability support services for people who face long term disability who live across the CCDHB region. Capital Support is an independent agency run by CCDHB. It is contracted to the Ministry of Health (MOH) to carry out community-based needs assessment and service coordination (NASC) services.

This role will suit a person experienced in problem solving, inspiring a culture of quality, whilst enjoying working in a team environment as well as working autonomously. You-ll be an achiever who can see what needs to be done and gets on with doing it. You-ll be committed to excellent outcomes for clients through working as part of a team.
Required: Current Driver-s License
A relevant qualification that could be applied to Disability Support Services is preferred but not compulsory.
