Registered Nurse - Enhanced Recovery Unit at Waikato District Health Board (Hamilton), Waikato

Where you’ll be working: Waikato Hospital

The details: Permanent – 72 rostered hours per fortnight

 

Waikato Hospital’s Enhanced Recovery Unit (ERU) is looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our team!

 

About the service:

Ward M14 encompasses our Cardiology, Cardiothoracic & Vascular (CCTV) services. We provide care for patients throughout the Midlands Region, requiring cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.

 

About the role:

The ERU provides specialised care to cardiac surgery patients, encompassing the post-operative phases in the critical care and step-down environments. We have a strong team focus and strive to achieve early recovery for our patients. This is a high functioning unit, with only five beds.

We require skilled nurses with NZ experience in Cardiac or ICU.

 

To be considered for this position you must have:

• a current annual practicing certificate,

• a minimum of 2-3 years post registration experience,

• ICU/HDU or cardiothoracic experience,

• excellent time management and communication skills

• be available to work rostered shifts, which includes nights and weekends.
