Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We have a great opportunity for a Clinical Engineering Technical Assistants to join our Facilities and Engineering Services who provide the technical management of buildings, plant and equipment owned by Capital and Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) and Hutt Valley District Health Board (HVDHB).
You will be responsible for performing the scheduled preventative maintenance testing of low-risk clinical equipment across CCDHB and HVDHB. This is to ensure all clinical technology and equipment within the DHB-s is to a level of performance and safety and is fit for the purpose for which it was bought. Additionally, you will also contribute to the effective service coordination and prioritisation of daily workloads between clinical services within the DHB-s.

We are a friendly, diverse and supportive team who have recently been through a restructure and had a significant investment made into growing the service regionally.
Where previously we would have looked at only at individuals with years of experience; we are now fully prepared to invest in staff who do not have the required qualifications.
All training to maintain and support low risk clinical equipment will be provided on the job via our senior staff or through manufacturer training courses.
We will work with any successful candidate to help them achieve the required electrical license in the coming years.
Moū - About you
- Mechanically and technically savvy
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level customer service/people skills
A current registration and practising certificate as an Electrical Appliance Service Person and a clean Driver-s License would be beneficial for success in this role.
