The details: Permanent, 56 hours per week (0.7FTE)
An opportunity has risen for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Children’s health services. The role is across Waikids Clinics and Day Stay areas.
Waikids Clinics & Daystay team are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced paediatric registered nurse to provide a service of excellence for patients and their families attending the Waikids outpatients department. Waikids Clinics include Paediatric medical and surgical specialist appointments plus many subspecialties. The nurses are central to the running of this busy, friendly, family focused, and expanding service, with a close working relationship with the Medical, Administrative and MDT staff. Waikids Day Stay provides Paediatric medical/surgical/oncology treatment and reviews that require longer duration of stay than regular clinic appointments.
The area operates Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30 hours.
Waikids Clinics and Day Stay are across one level (E6), ERB, Waikato Hospital. The teams works closely together to provide quality holistic care to the child and family; working closely alongside medical staff, the Child health MDT, and community agencies.
• RN minimum 3 years experience
• Minimum 2 years recent paediatric or neonatal nursing experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven problem solving skills
• Ability to effectively work autonomously and as part of a team
• The desire to provide quality care within a multi-disciplinary team
• Proven effective change implementation
• Demonstrated excellent provision of care with children who have long term health conditions
• Experience in both Medical and Surgical Paediatric nursing
