Waka Kotahi is looking for an experienced leader to support their teams in the delivery of a 'best in class' regulatory compliance service in our Safer Commercial Transport team.
As Manager Compliance, you will deliver supportive leadership and a robust regulatory service to motivate and influence Aotearoa's commercial transport sector to deliver the highest levels of safety and compliance.
You will be values driven and have a strong focus on inclusivity and building a positive culture.
You will lead by example and support your team in achieving win wins and improved safety outcomes. Kotahitanga and working together as one will be crucial to our success.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A track record of leadership encompassing your ability to coach and influence others to achieve great outcomes
Passion for developing a positive team culture
A positive mindset and a tenacious desire to learn, improve and innovate
Experience in influencing and building credibility across a range of stakeholders
Proven experience/background in Regulation/Government would be an advantage but is not a requirement

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
