Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Our Tactical Asset Investment Team has an opportunity for a Principal Advisor Asset Management to join the team. This is a key role that will champion Waka Kotahi tactical asset management advice across multiple road asset types.
You'll contribute to improve the structured approach to roads management to enable road/highway operation, maintenance, and restoration of highway assets to meet key condition, functional and performance requirements and ensure we can reasonably demonstrate a more optimal use of available resources.
Working closely with Alliance teams, you'll support to improve our asset management capability and to ensure value, in what is proposed to be delivered.

As our Principal Advisor Asset Management, not only are you a strong influencer, negotiator and top-class relationship builder, you also possess:
- Experience working across roading assets with a strong understanding of asset management.
- Advanced asset data literacy with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience at advising a wide range of stakeholders on complex asset and asset management topics.
- Proven track record of building strong and successful working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication, influencing and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in influencing within an organization to ensure delivery on commitments.
This is a role where you will get to showcase your Asset Management expertise, collaborate, engage and build effective relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
