The Inpatient Unit at Wairau Hospital is a 47 bed unit with three nursing teams delivering quality patient care to Surgical, Medical and Rehabilitation patients.
We have the following opportunities available working across all shifts: AM 0645 ' 1515, PM 1430 ' 2300, Night 2230 -0700.
- Permanent part-time and full-time positions (0.7 to 1.0FTE).
- Parental leave, up to 12 months (0.8FTE).

The full-time equivalent salary range, if a RN is appointed, is $64.291 through to $83,186 based on the current NZNO Nursing and Midwifery MECA, dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.
The full-time equivalent salary range, if an EN is appointed, is $54,432 to $62,847, based on the current NZNO Nursing and Midwifery MECA, dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.
Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
You will be a NZ Registered Nurse, or Enrolled Nurse, with a current NZNC practising certificate and post-registration nursing experience.
You will be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.
For the health and safety of staff and patients all NMH staff are required to be vaccinated in accordance with the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021.
