Stanford House - Forensic Rehabilitation Unit
Permanent, full time position (40 hours per week)
Stanford House, widely recognised as a progressive, creative and innovative forensic service and part of the Central Regional Forensic Adult Mental Health service, is seeking experienced, suitably qualified team focussed, Registered Nurses to join our close-knit team.
Primarily these roles provide practical mental health recovery support, facilitating measurable and successful outcomes for residents and Whanau. These roles require outstanding communication skills, as well as a supportive, respectful, and conscientious manner.
With an understanding of the challenges faced by people with lived experience, the successful candidates will ideally possess the following skills and abilities:
- The ability to establish sound, trusting relationships with both clients and Whanau and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of people
- Relevant and current New Zealand Registered Nursing qualifications and/or training towards forensic studies.
- Previous mental health experience and/or two years general ward experience
- Experience working independently, assuming accountability and responsibility for your actions, making critical decisions in challenging and complex situations
