As a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse, we offer you the opportunity to join our highly motivated and professional team inOlder Persons and Rehabilitation Service (OPRS) based at Hutt Valley Hospital. These are multiple permanent part time registered nurse positions(up to 0. 9 FTE) all rostered and rotating.
The OPRS team uses a multidisciplinary approach and caters for a wide range of patients including those patients with orthopaedic, psycho-geriatric and complex medical conditions.We have many options for career development and a superior quality of care for people in our community.
We have a strong research culture across our services. A high focus on staff education and development, we aim to deliver high quality and safe care at all times.

Mōu -About You
A New Zealand registered nurse, you will have a current practising certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. Ideally, you will bring to this role prior experience in the rehabilitation of the older person and experience in Older Persons Mental Health (psycho-geriatric) nursing.
An excellent communicator, you will have a positive, enthusiastic and proactive manner that instils confidence in patients and colleagues. Awareness of and sensitivity to individual and cultural differences is essential.
In order to be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
' A passion for working with older people and their families
' Excellent time management skills
' Excellent communication skills
' Experience in working with a multi-disciplinary team
' Resilience in a very busy environment
This is an excellent opportunity to maximise the health of older people requiring both short term and long-term rehabilitation.You will need to be team focused, have a positive attitude and an innovative and adaptable approach to practice.
