Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) ' Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, Day Stay Unit & Surgical Admissions Unit is responsible for effectively managing people, systems, processes and resources to enable the provision of a high standard of patient care and the efficient and effective running of the service.
The CNM role manages a team of Nursing professionals and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders The role is supported by the Service Manager, Surgical Support and the Nursing Director, Acute Patient Flow as required. The Clinical Nurse Manager will provide clinical leadership for the multi-disciplinary team and professional leadership of the nursing team, monitoring quality and practice and service standards.
They will take a lead role in developing nursing services and play an active role in the development and achievement of the strategic direction for the Perioperative Department.

We are seeking a dynamic leader who can inspire our team, provide sound clinical decision making and motive improvement process towards providing optimal service delivery.
To be a successful applicant for this role you will hold the following attributes;
* Experience in a nursing clinical leadership/management role.
* Experienced Registered Nurse with minimum 5-year post registration experience in the relevant or similar clinical setting.
* Studying towards masters of Nursing, equivalent or desire to progress with post graduate study.
* Provide professional Nursing leadership and role model professional standards of practice.
* Ensure effective and efficient care delivery for patient's consumers/ tangata whaiora.
* Able to provide effect management of staff, systems and resources.
* Ability to manage and prioritise conflicting and equally important demands.
* Able to develop and lead improvement process.
