Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
The Nurse Educator role is clinical leadership position that focuses on nursing education, professional development, quality improvement, practice and change management and risk minimisation activities.
The Nurse Educator will be present in the clinical environment to provide professional leadership and will be a role model by working with staff to demonstrate clinical excellence, safe, quality and equitable patient care.

The MAPU whānau are a friendly, approachable and supportive team who work together to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. We utilise team nursing where possible to develop all team members' skills and to share knowledge and experience.
Our team includes senior, registered, and new graduate nurses who are supported by a large group of trained healthcare assistants.
Moū ' About you
The Nurse Educator will be a credible registered nurse with experience in acute medicine and medical assessment, have the ability to lead and motivate others, have a positive attitude and a high standard of patient care, be an advocate for professional and organisational initiatives, and have a relevant post graduate qualification or working towards this.
The Nurse Educator must also be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse, have a current practicing certificate and be at least proficient, ideally expert, on the professional development and recognition programme.
