We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Advisor to join our Strategy and Performance team within Te Urungi ' Organisational Strategy and Performance branch. The role reports to the Director Strategy and Performance and would suit a generalist advisor with three to four years' experience operating as a reporting or performance advisor or in a similar role.
This is an established role, and you will get the opportunity to:
- Work closely with the Director and Principal Advisors to collate reports for external parties and provide advice to business teams across Te Tari Taiwhenua
- Play a key role in coordinating information requests and preparation for select committee hearings for Te Tari Taiwhenua
- Be part of a team that is driving organisational strategy through Te Tari Taiwhenua
- Get hands-on experience in leading important mahi that helps to tell the story of how well we are performing for New Zealand
About you ' Ko koe
You will have experience as an advisor or senior advisor contributing to various business management and advisory functions such managing information requests and coordinating departmental planning and performance reporting activities. As a team player, you are keen to get involved and help the team and branch achieve its objectives. You are an organisational guru and can keep track of where various requests and mahi are at any given time. You are proactive and exercise good judgement about when to seek input from others and when to escalate. You are a people person and build positive relationships with others based on respect and trust.

We provide direction, oversight and leadership across the Department of Internal Affairs around risk assurance, project governance, legal services and strategic planning. The Strategy and Performance team is dedicated to telling the story of Te Tari Taiwhenua, where we're heading, what we've achieved so far, and what more we want to deliver for New Zealand.
