The Role - Te Tūranga

We're looking for a Senior Adviser to join our Financial Reporting team. Option to be based in either Auckland or Wellington.

In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring financial reporting compliance of FMC reporting entities. You will regularly engage with market participants on financial reporting matters and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements with the ultimate aim of ensuring that investors have access to the information they need to make informed decisions.

You will also be drafting guidance notes and other key reports to provide clear and well-understood information to market participants.  This role will also expose you to a breadth of other work including audit quality reviews, consideration of continuous disclosure matters, and work on other misconduct enquiries and investigations.

About you - Ō pūkenga

To excel in this role you'll preferably be a CA or CPA with:

• 6+ years of experience in technical accounting advisory and/or financial statements audits in one of the major accounting firms or other relevant regulatory experience in financial reporting and auditing
• Excellent knowledge of the applicable accounting standards in New Zealand
• In depth knowledge of financial reporting requirements as they apply to FMC reporting entities
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and reasoning skills
• Proven report writing skills
