Vascular Sonographers are an integral member of the Sonography and wider Radiology team. The role also works in close collaboration with the vascular service to provide tertiary level scanning critical to treatment and management of a number of conditions. Both teams are dedicated to the provision of an efficient and high quality patient focused service for the wider central region.

Radiology services provides a wide range of Diagnostic and interventional Imaging services for Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley and adjacent regions, including Angiography, CT, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and General Radiography.

The Radiology service is multi-disciplinary, employing Radiologists, Nurses, Administration Support Staff and Medical Imaging Technologists and is a training institution for Radiology Registrar's, MITs and Sonographers.

Moū ' About you

• Registered and licensed Sonographer with the MRTB
• Experienced and competent in Tertiary level scanning for:
  • peripheral arterial
  • venous insufficiency
  • upper and lower limb DVT
  • carotid
  • renal dialysis AV fistula
  • AAA
  • EVAR
  • vein mappings
  • bypass grafts
