Senior Change Manager at Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities , Auckland

Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Change Manager to join our team in Newmarket on a fixed term basis. In this role you will be responsible for using your change practitioner skills to mentor, coach and lead a smaller programme change team.

You will also be involved in multiple projects within the wider programme of works. The role will collaborate with the business and programme team using agreed strategies, methodology (PROSCI) and tools with outcomes that maximise the objectives and benefits of change through quicker adoption, higher utilisation and proficiency.

To be successful in this role you will be an expert change practitioner who has proactively planned, deployed and embedded change using appropriate methodologies, tools and processes. You will also support, persuade and influence a variety of people, ranging from senior leaders to external vendors through the strong relationships you build with them.

  • Expert knowledge and extensive experience in applying change management principles, tools and methodology.
  • Experience working on large programmes of work.
  • Demonstrated experience providing leadership, coaching and support to a team.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Experience operating in a complex, fluid and ambiguous environment.
  • Strong persuasion and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder demands.
  • Change management certification in PROSCI or equivalent experience.
