Where you’ll be working: Immunology/Serology Laboratory
The details: Permanent full-time, 40 hours per week (1.0FTE)
The Immunology / Serology Laboratory has an exciting opening for a full time, permanent Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician.
The hours of work are usually Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630 hrs, but there is some on call work on Public Holidays as required.
In this role, you will be performing automated and manual tests. This includes autoantibody testing, protein-based diagnostics including free light chains and electrophoresis, allergy testing and a wide range of serological tests using many different techniques.
The Immunolgy / Serology Department is a small friendly team of 8 staff and you will be supported in your role by 2 technical specialists, senior medical staff, department manager and fellow Immunology / Serology staff.
You must be registered with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ, or eligible to be.
Previous experience in a medical laboratory is an advantage and particularly in an Immunology / Serology department.
