Ko wai mātou | Our Organisation
We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.
We are part of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Our contract centre is hive of activity, which receives over 60,000 calls a month relating to a wide variety of patient queries.
You will be answering phones calls and responding to queries, while providing excellent customer service.
This is a permanent role, working rostered shifts (24/7) which includes a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday.

We are looking for stand-out individuals who are pro-active and show initiative. You also need a strong desire to provide our patients with a quality, professional experience with the ability to empathise and work compassionately with people from various cultures.
To be successful in the role you need:
- Proven customer service / reception / contact centre experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to build rapport with our patients and their families
- Reliability, accuracy and a positive attitude are vital
- Intermediate to Advanced IT experience, including MS Office Suite
