A new and exciting opportunity is available for a pharmacist to work at Waikato hospital, working between our on-site community pharmacy - Pharmacy on Meade, and the hospital pharmacy service.
If you not only love community pharmacy, but are really keen to expand your knowledge, gain hospital pharmacy operational and advanced problem solving skills, then this is the perfect role for you.
This will be an exciting and interesting role, with direct links to hospital staff and services, whilst being part of a large hospital pharmacy team. The role will enable the successful applicant to keep their hand in community pharmacy whilst expanding a wide range of other pharmacy operational and clinical skills. An opportunity to try something different, develop a new combination community/ hospital role and learn off our expert specialist pharmacists.
Ideally you will be a New Zealand registered pharmacist with 1 to 3+ years of NZ community pharmacy experience. Involvement in a Saturday roster is expected. Further learning is encouraged and supported.

Waikato Hospital in Hamilton is one of New Zealand’s largest tertiary, teaching hospitals with over 600 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres. Clinical specialities include Women’s and Children Services, Cardiology / Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncology and Haematology, Surgical services, and Mental Health and Addiction. Waikato Hospital is the Midland regional referral centre for multiple specialties including trauma surgery, oncology, and neurology.
