Registered Nurse - Adult Community Mental Health Services, Acutes

We are looking for an experienced mental health nurse who wants to join our awesome team. The person we are looking for knows the mahi, cares about people, and is able to work well as part of a team when things get busy. We are a strong and skillful team of nurses, social workers, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, health care assistants and community support workers who enjoy sharing food, and tending to our growing collection of indoor plants.

We require several permanent full-time and part-time Registered Nurses who have at least 2 years of Mental Health experience to join the acute component of our community-based team in Takapuna.

This is a fast-paced work environment, providing short-term, intensive and responsive services to people who are acutely unwell. Excellent communication skills are a must, as are high levels of energy and enthusiasm. The successful candidate will be competent in risk assessment and formulation of risk. We are committed to providing excellent training and professional development opportunities.

Knowledge of the role and function of a Duly Authorised Officer would be an advantage, however, training can be provided. This role is fully rostered over 7 days with AM and PM shifts, including some on-call work overnight.
