Salary: $68,371 - $83,030 pro rata
Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
As physiotherapist you will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team that helps people with chronic pain improve function and participation in valued activities despite pain. Your broad clinical knowledge will guide individually tailored movement and exercise programmes and will facilitate pain relevant education individually and in group settings. You will provide group and individual physiotherapy assessments and treatments in person and via tele health and be a key worker to coordinate services.
Role Requirements are:
- NZ Registered Physiotherapist with current annual practicing certificate
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
- Clinical experience relevant to the position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams
- Effective time management and organisational skills
Mō tō mātou rōpū ' About our team
This part time position compliments a highly skilled allied health team at Hutt Hospital that provides an integrated multi-disciplinary approach to assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for people with persistent / chronic pain. The team of physiotherapists, OT, clinical psychologists and medical specialist works alongside the tertiary pain management service at Capital Coast to help people live well with pain. The team delivers community pain services also specifically for ACC and has access to excellent gym facilities
Moū ' About you
We are looking for a physiotherapist with experience or interest in pain management to join our cooperative and highly skilled MDT team, located at Hutt Hospital and working collaboratively with the regional pain service at Wellington Hospital.
The Physiotherapist in this role will develop in-depth knowledge of physical conditioning, and approaches to the restoration of physical function in the presence of persistent pain. An awareness of rehabilitation theory, management of musculoskeletal issues, and the ability to motivate clients to successfully self-manage, along with up to date knowledge of Pain management theory are desirable.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable in conflict resolution.
