We are seeking a dynamic and suitably experienced registered nurse to take on the role of Charge Nurse Manager for OPR 1.
We are a busy 15 bedded unit providing acute assessment and treatment for tangata whaiora over the age of 65 presenting with acute mental health conditions, dementia with behavioural and psychological conditions and palliative dementia care.
The role requires the appointee to provide leadership and take responsibility for the safe and effective management of resources ensuring the delivery of excellent care and supporting the effective management of tangata whaiora flow through the in-patient unit.
He Kōrero mōu - About You
You will be passionate and committed to providing tangata whaiora focused care.
You will work as an effective team member and demonstrate strong communication skills which is essential to this position.
You will need to have a calm and empathic approach, flexibility and creativity in your care approach.
You will have significant clinical experience in mental health and gerontological nursing as well as previous experience in staff management.
You will have mental health nursing in your scope of practice.
