Contract: Permanent, Full Time, (Monday ' Friday)
Salary: Level 3 Range - $80,778 To $87,999; Level 2 Range - $72,826 To $79,722

Are you passionate about Mental Health and Addictions for Tangata Pasifika clients? The Pacific Consultant is an advisory/advocacy position at a service and management level. The role works with the service to promote the needs of the Pacific Mental Health clients, to maintain effective links with Pacific fanau and networks access to community work.
Mō tō mātou rōpū ' About our team
Vaka O Le Pasifika is a cultural base service, in Tē Kōrōwāi Whārīkī based on the Rātōngā Rūa ō Pōrirua Campus, that has a strong emphasis on the cultural identity and connections to our Pacific forensic mental health clients. Vaka O Le Pasifika complements Rūaūmōkō, the Maori cultural base. Both services work collaboratively across the Forensic & Rehabilitation Inpatient Units to provide cultural support/needs, guidance and advocacy for the clients, their whanau/fanau and the clinical teams who access the Central Region Forensic and Inpatient Rehabilitation Mental Health Service.
Moū ' About you
The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years clinical experience in a Mental Health environment with a demonstrated understanding and knowledge base of Pacific Mental Health. To also be proficient in communications and advocacy, be able to converse in the different Pacific languages, be proactive and committed to working towards improving health outcomes for the Pacific Forensic mental health clients.
