We are a secondary level neonatal unit, with capacity for up to 10 cots, using a family integrated model of care.
We have the following positions available working rostered and rotating shifts Monday to Sunday:
- 1 x permanent 0.6FTE position (working 48 hours a fortnight)
- 1 x temporary 0.7FTE position (working 56 hours a fortnight) covering parental for up to 12 months
Casual position assisting with peak capacity and covering leave, ideally working across both our Paediatric Unit and the SCBU. Some scheduling will be available when covering planned leave. However, it will be important that you have the flexibility to sometimes work at short notice across a range of shifts.

The full-time equivalent salary range for this RN position is $64,291 through to $83,186 based on the current NZNO Nursing and Midwifery MECA, dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.

You will be a NZ registered nurse, with a current APC and will be flexible and adaptable to accommodate our variable workload and acuity. We are seeking someone with a commitment to quality and safe care, focused on improving the health outcomes for neonates and their whānau. Neonatal experience is preferred.
For the health and safety of staff and patients all Te Whatu Ora staff are required to be vaccinated in accordance with the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021, including boosters.
