About the role:
The Practice Leader will bring their expert business understanding and perspective to work in partnership with their manager and other staff within MBIE. and contributes to the operations of the Labour Inspectorate team.
The role is responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of advice and practices. As well as contributing to the creation of policy around changes to:
- The Holidays Act,
- Fair Pay Agreements
- Duty to Prevent legislation
Skills and experience required:
- Professional leadership through the use of influencing skills and coaching
- Appropriate investigation experience
- Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation
- Understands the functioning of the New Zealand employment relations system and its underlying principles and relevant employment standards legislation
- Understands the principles of adult education to support best practice when working to improve the professional capacity of groups and individuals
