Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Te Whare O Matairangi, the 24 hour acute adult mental health inpatient service based at Wellington hospital. We are looking for a part time administration superstar for this busy role.
The successful person will be required to undertake duties associated with the administration of our service. This role encompasses many different tasks so training will be given to assist in the development and enhancement of skills and knowledge required. The role requires you to have the ability to multitask, prioritise and adhere to deadlines all while remaining calm and keeping a sense of humour. A friendly disposition and willingness to learn is essential whilst previous office experience is desirable. You will be joining a team of four other administrators who support the most important day to day functions for our service user, whanau and staff.
Some of your duties will include:
- Mental Health Act administration
- Collating client hospital files
- Update calendars and schedule appointments
- Archiving hospital files
- Offering administrative support across the organisation.
- Perform other administration duties such as required.
- Cover reception when required.
- Answering overflow of incoming calls.

Te Whare O Matairangi is the adult mental health in-patient unit situated on the Wellington Regional Hospital campus. Te Whare O Matairangi is funded to provide 29 beds and is divided into two area: Te Taha Manaaki and Te Taha Tauria. With a diverse range of staff and an amazing team dynamic.
Moū ' About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic part time administrator with passion and commitment to join our diverse team. A proven track record in maintaining high levels of accuracy and service excellence is top priority.
Ultimately, the part time administrator will work closely alongside the team of administrators. You will be responsible for a range of different tasks from Mental Health Act administration, procurement, filling in on the front desk when required and other general tasks. As this is a very busy role, it is important that you are highly detail oriented, possess excellent communication skills and have fantastic time management.

- Strong typing and computer skills ' Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- The ability to work well in a team
- Strong multi tasking skills and be able to work well under pressure
