Te tūranga - The role
The Senior Manager, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement is a key leadership role in the Strategy Governance and Sustainability group, supporting the Director in strategic planning, external representation and engagements with key stakeholders, strategic communications and issues management, and people leadership.
This role will support a broad range of stakeholders, but have a strong focus on external audiences at both a strategic and operational level.

As the Senior Manager, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement you will have significant experience in managing communications and engagements areas and implementing strong processes and frameworks. You have the appetite to build and engage across the organisation to influence change.
You will be a cohesive leader by nature, who brings teams together in a collaborative manner, paying attention to the value of mentoring, coaching and challenging those around you to deliver.
To be successful in this role, you will bring;
- Proven experience in building, developing, fostering and enabling high performing collaborative, inclusive and diverse teams
- Relationship management experience to build, develop and maintain high level relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, agencies and partners
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes
- A demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity and inclusion as well as knowledge and comfort with Te Ao Māori
