Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
As Senior Risk and Assurance advisor you will play an important role in the successful delivery of our Digital risk management programme.
The role acts as a trusted advisor providing risk management oversight, guidance, and support across our Digital Group to improve how risks are managed and the quality and effectiveness of assurance activities.
A key part of this role is working with a variety of stakeholders so you will be a keen collaborator and enjoy connecting with others.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in supporting a risk or assurance function.
- Experience in developing and managing risk management frameworks and assurance systems and tools.
- Proven experience of risk management reporting and use of risk performance indicators.
- Proven ability to develop trust, credibility and influence with senior managers and staff and build strong working relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Passion to coach, mentor, and drive risk management best practices.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
