Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
We're looking for a motivated experienced Maintenance Carpenter to join our team which provides day-to-day carpentry services within our busy campus at Hutt Hospital. Duties include window and door repairs, locks and door hardware repairs, light joinery work, erecting signage, minor project works, exterior cladding repairs and defects. The work is varied and interesting and you'll be working alongside a friendly and supportive team. Would best suit an experienced carpenter who likes variety and to challenge themselves. Availability for 'on-call' work is a requirement of the role some evenings and weekends.

The Property & Facilities team provides the overall asset and facilities management of buildings, plant & equipment, and clinical equipment, either owned or leased by the DHB.

We are looking for an experienced trade-certified carpenter who can step into our carpentry team and assist with the day-to-day duties and fill an on-call roster (some evening work and weekend work will apply). The ideal person will be a self-starter, self-motivated and be able provide solutions, while thinking on their feet.
