We have a unique opportunity for a skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Change PMO and work on our Oranga Tamariki Action Plan (OTAP) programme within our Transformation group.

About the role | Mō te tūnga
The Oranga Tamariki Action Plan is the Children's Agencies' joint plan to prevent harm, and promote wellbeing, for children and young people with the greatest needs. The Action Plan provides a really important opportunity to put the needs of children and young people at the centre, and to transform the children's sector to improve outcomes for these children and young people that need it the most.
Your role on this programme will be in the early define (planning) phase, where you will be working alongside the Programme Manager, Principal Advisor and other key people from across Oranga Tamariki and other government agencies. This role has a very strong delivery focus, so you need to be prepared to be hands on to ensure the delivery of the programme outcomes.
This role will suit an enquiring mind, someone who can scope up and quickly make sense of large amounts of information and can synthesise and clearly communicate it through varied channels.
About you | Mōu
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst who has led or had significant experience in the development of frameworks and practices for large scale projects, which are working to improve ways of working with partners and customers through to delivery of change.
You will have a solid understanding of social welfare needs in relation to whānau and communities and will ideally have prior experience working in this area.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring:
- Strong Business Analyst skills (including planning, workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement requirements gathering, documentation, process mapping, current and future state analysis)
- Experience as a Business Analyst within government organisations
- Proven experience in managing and delivering a range of outputs for business projects
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to present complex information in an engaging and easy to understand way
- Flexibility and be adaptable, a reliable Business Analyst with strong ethics and business nature
- Knowledge of Te Reo and Tikanga Māori would be a bonus
