We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.

Our Adult Community and Long Term Conditions Directorate is in search of a skilled and experienced Personal Assistant to join our team to help support our Senior leadership (including Directorate Director, General Manager, Māori Health Lead, Allied Health Director, Nursing Director, Medical Director, Primary Care Director, Finance Manager and Human Resources Manager)ensuring that they are able to work efficiently and effectively. Our service is committed to do and be our best, to value and support all staff, to work together with trust respect and honesty, and display commitment and accountability to provide a high-quality service to our patients.
You will provide administrative assistance to ensure efficient, effective and customer focussed service delivery. You will need to be comfortable working autonomously and, in a team, using your initiative and cope well under pressure. You will need to juggle priorities to meet deadlines, having excellent communication skills is a priority. Diary and correspondence management, co-ordinating meetings, minute taking, stakeholder management and preparing reports will be some of your core duties.

Given the importance of this role, we are looking for candidates who possess:
- Alignment with the values of Te Toka Tumai
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bi-culturalism
- High level of personal and professional integrity and can be relied on to maintain confidentiality
- A meticulous approach to detail and a completer of tasks.
- Sound MS Office skills including, advanced Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Helpful to have experience in and understanding of the healthcare environment but not essential
- Flexible and proactive attitude
- Strong analytical and problem solving ability
- Good stakeholder management, inter-personal communication and negotiation skills
- Agenda preparation and minute taking experience
