About the service:
We are an integral and diverse team that works throughout the hospital across all specialities, supporting all clinical staff to maintain good hospital flow. We are in the front line to meet and greet hospital patients and are the last to see them out.
We are a friendly and welcoming team that support each other offering a pathway for opportunities to work within the DHB organisation.
About the role:
We are looking for Attendants to join our team at Waikato Hospital. We need someone who has excellent customer service skills and can work all rostered duties, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
Required skills & experience:
• Excellent fitness to work in an environment with heavy physical demands including frequent walking, pushing and lifting.
• Willingness to follow direction and carry out tasks in a timely efficient manner.
• The ability to build and maintain positive respectful relationships with customers and team members.
• Be reliable with an excellent attendance record.
• A full NZ driver’s licence for automatic and manual vehicles is essential.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.

Waikato Hospital in Hamilton is one of New Zealand’s largest tertiary, teaching hospitals with over 600 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres. Clinical specialities include Women’s and Children Services, Cardiology / Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncology and Haematology, Surgical services, and Mental Health and Addiction. Waikato Hospital is the Midland regional referral centre for multiple specialties including trauma surgery, oncology, and neurology.
