In this role you will be working fulltime (40 hours per week) with most shifts being Monday to Friday with on call commitments on week nights and weekends and occasional weekend shifts on a rostered basis
We are looking for a quirky up-beat registered nurse to join our Radiology Nursing Team.
Radiology Nurses are the backbone of the Radiology team at Te Toka Tumai - always reliable and great team players. We are looking for Registered Nurses to join our team working alongside other Nurses, MRT’s and Radiologists in providing a patient centric approach during complex interventional Radiology (IR) procedures in a theatre environment.
We provide a service to both inpatients and outpatients from Te Toka Tumai and Starship Children’s Health. The department services an active specialist referral base with tertiary, regional and national services.
It’s never a dull day, with a variety of peripheral and Neuro IR procedures in our operating rooms, including clot-retrievals(PSI’s), hybrid theatre cases, PICC line insertions, biopsies and working in our Day stay unit for pre assessment and post procedure cares. In this role you will be working fulltime (40 hours per week) with most shifts being Monday to Friday with oncall commitments on week nights and weekends and occasional weekend shifts on a rostered basis.

As the ideal candidate for this role you will:
- Registration with the nursing council of New Zealand and have a current Practising Certificate
- Preferably an experienced nurse who is flexible and keen to learn
- Ideally a procedural and/or theatre back ground
- Communicates with confidence. Communicate your ideas honestly and clearly and respect the views and opinions of others on the team
- Uses initiative, does more than asked. Ability to prioritise work and take proactive approach to manage your time and workload. Be an active participant and do more than your job title states.
