Quality Compliance Specialist - Pathology Services (1.0 FTE) at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Tai Tokerau, Northland

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau in the role of Quality Compliance Specialist (permanent 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week position), reporting to the Pathology Quality Manager. You will assist in driving continuous improvement and performance in the Quality, Health & Safety of Te Tai Tokerau's Pathology Service. You will assist facilitating the monitoring and record keeping for compliance with accreditation and statutory authorities and advocating best practice.

 

We are looking for someone who can make a positive Quality and H&S impact and are willing to provide support and training to increase your knowledge in these areas.

 

In order to fulfil this role, you should:

-       be an NZ registered and licensed Medial Laboratory Scientist / Technician

-       have the ability to build strong, trusting relationships quickly

-       have an eye for detail

-       have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-       be flexible and able to work under pressure

-       be an innovative thinker with the ability to problem solve

 

Prior work experience in a Medical Laboratory and in Quality Management Systems is essential.

 

This is an office based role; however there will be opportunities to work alongside staff in the lab in an advisory capacity. The base location for this role is Whangarei. As there are 4 laboratories with Te Tai Tokerau, you may be expected to occasionally travel between the 4 laboratories
