- Sick of the commute and want to spend less time sitting in traffic?
- Tired of weather worries and having to pack for 4 seasons in one day?
- Worried that moving to the provinces is ‘one step away from retiring’?
If so, you should come and talk to us at Te Whatu Ora - Te Matau a Maui – Hawkes Bay
We have an opportunity for two qualified Anaesthetic Technicians to join our team!
Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital is situated in Hastings. We are a large and very busy 400 bed public facility providing acute and elective care for a growing region of over 176,000 people. We have 7 theatres (soon to be 8), a large endoscopy suite, 15 bed PACU and Day Surgery Unit. The work here is varied and often challenging. We cover all secondary public hospital specialties and perform on average 10,000 procedures per annum with many high acuity patients arriving from ED and ICU. Work is underway on substantial surgical expansion, which you can read about on our website.
You will find that we are only a short commute from Napier or you can bike here from just about anywhere in Hastings.
The friendly team of Anaesthetic Technicians cover operating theatres and also provide support to Radiology, CCU and ED. The icing on the cake is that we also have the opportunity to work in ICU and are heavily involved in aeromedical transfers to and from major centres all over NZ.
You will be a part of our incredibly friendly & award-winning Perioperative Department where we encourage a workforce that’s innovative, eager to learn & enhance their skills and is passionate about caring for our community. As part of our team we’ll support, encourage and help you to develop your career with us. There’ll be opportunity for you to enhance your knowledge in education through courses and in-house training. You will share your knowledge and excellence through the training of our students and other members of the team.
Registration with The Medical Sciences Council is essential, and membership with the New Zealand Anaesthetic Technician Society would be preferred.
