The details: Permanent Full-time, 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE) Hours of work - Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified person to support the current manager with the leadership of the Disability Support Service team. This role will include supporting the team in decision-making and problem solving and performing Needs Assessments and Service Coordinators for clients aged 65 and under.

The Disability Support Services team cover a range of contracted services for people under the age of 65 with an intellectual, physical, or sensory disability, and autistic spectrum disorder. You will be leading and supporting the Enabling Good Lives Principles.

Required skills & experience you will need to be consider for this role:
• Proven leadership skills preferably in the disability sector
• Able to motivate, direct and influence others
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Skills to work in partnership with people of all ages and their families to develop an individualised support package
• Skills to work within a multidisciplinary team and across all sectors
• Experience in orientation and perception of new staff
• Current full New Zealand drivers licence
• Able to apply the Treaty of Waitangi principles into practice
• Able to apply the principles of Enabling Good Lives in all interactions with stakeholders.
