Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
The ACNM Theatre would oversee specialties including Oral and Trauma/Acutes, hold portfolios such as health and safety and infection control, and provide much needed additional leadership support including backfill of the Patient Flow role.

Hutt Valley has an eight theatre suite. We are a dynamic and innovative provider of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery involving multi-disciplinary teams; along with services for obstetrics and gynaecological, ENT, general, orthopaedics, dental, maxillofacial, and acute services.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is ready either for a change or to step into a leadership role. It is important that you have a positive can do attitude and are able to engage with both staff and patients. The successful candidate will need to be resilient, able to display leadership, remain calm when under pressure, be able to multitask, demonstrate initiative and have the ability to both create and support effective relationship management between key internal stakeholders.
Relevant experience, skills or attitudes essential for this role:
- Current NZ Registration and Practicing Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Operating Theatres
- Proactively contributes as part of the leadership team
- Willing to go the extra mile to make a difference
- Have a positive 'Can do' attitude
- Excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
- Committed to patient safety and quality of care
- Takes responsibility, is reliable, accountable and honest
- Ability to manage and prioritise conflicting and equally important demands
- High level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are critical
- Has an eye for detail, professional approach and extremely organised
